***TWO LOCATIONS: Alpena’s First Presbyterian Church (1600 W. Chisholm) and Grand Lake Branch of PI District Library (18132 Lake Esau Hwy, Presque Isle)***
Caring for Children Who have Experienced Trauma is a 6-week once-a-week workshop for parents, foster parents, adoptive parents, guardians, caregivers, grandparents, childcare providers, and those who work with children and families.
Explore the behavioral and biological impact of trauma on children and how to use a trauma-informed perspective to care for children.
6 contact hours will be accredited for sessions 1-3 (Trauma Basics) and another 6 contact hours for sessions 4-6 (Putting Trauma Knowledge Into Action).
Sessions are at these locations Wednesdays at 6:00-8:00pm January 22nd – February 26th.
No Cost for residents of Alcona, Alpena, Montmorency, & Presque Isle Counties. Out of area cost is $50.
