Instructors will teach participants, step by step, how to lace the modified bear paw-style, wooden-framed snowshoes (10 x 36 inches). Tubular nylon will be used for the lacing. The snowshoe kit comes with a set of “Super A” bindings. Participants will have to varnish their snowshoes with a spar urethane/marine varnish at a later time, preferably in a well-ventilated location. There will be a lunch break at noon, and participants may either bring their own food or go into downtown Grayling to buy lunch. Cost for the class is $190.
