About the event

Hike the lantern-lit Old Growth Trail and warmup by the Logging Museum's bonfire. Park at the Visitor Center. The Visitor Center will be OPEN! We have several pairs of snowshoes for you to borrow if you don't have your own. FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED. Depending on the weather and trail conditions snowshoes may not be necessary and hikers may want boots and/or crampons. Lanterns will be lit from 5:30-8:30. Event is free but a Michigan Recreation Passport is required for entry to the park. Hike is subject to cancellation due to inclement weather. Call the Visitor Center with questions. 989-348-2537. *All 2025 winter events are subject to alteration or cancellation due to pending Visitor Center renovations.
